About Funda
Funda is a New Zealand platform that helps local businesses and community groups support each other. Community groups raise money through simple online campaigns, local businesses welcome new customers through the door, and supporters get something genuinely worth having.
Whywe built it
Funda came out of a simple observation.
Local businesses spend money trying to reach new customers, often through advertising that feels impersonal and does not build much of anything. Meanwhile schools and clubs down the road are working hard to raise money, usually by selling something nobody particularly wanted, with volunteers carrying most of the load.
Two problems, sitting next to each other, that solve each other rather neatly.
So we built a way for a local business promotion to become the basis of a community fundraiser. The school or club raises money without the boxes and the admin. The business gains customers it would not otherwise have met. And the supporter gets real value instead of simply being asked to give.

Funda is operated by Service Saver, a team based in Wellington that helps small and medium New Zealand businesses grow through marketing, websites and lead generation. We built Funda to bring that same work into the community: helping local businesses thrive while giving the schools and clubs that hold communities together a better way to raise money.
