This Privacy Policy explains how Funda.nz (“Funda”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information. Funda.nz is operated by Service Saver (“Service Saver”, “Company”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

This policy applies to anyone who uses Funda.nz, including:

  • Supporters who claim promotions through fundraiser pages,
  • Community Groups (schools, clubs, organisations) that run campaigns on Funda, and
  • Business Partners who participate in campaigns.

We only collect personal information that we need to run the platform, process payments, deliver promotions, and provide reporting.

Supporters

We may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address
  • Billing address
  • Payment and transaction information (processed through our payment provider)
  • Order details, confirmation details, and support messages
  • Basic technical data (IP address, device/browser info, pages visited) for security and analytics

Community Groups and Business Partners

We may collect:

  • Contact name and role/title
  • Organisation or business name
  • Email address and phone number
  • Business details (e.g., address/service area)
  • Bank account details for payouts
  • Campaign details and communications with us

3) How we collect personal information

We collect information when you:

  • use Funda.nz (including browsing, filling out forms, or creating an account),
  • claim a promotion through a fundraiser page,
  • contact our support team,
  • submit an enquiry to run a campaign or become a partner.

We may also receive information from:

  • Community Groups or Business Partners (for example, if they provide a contact list for campaign coordination), and
  • our payment and technical service providers (to confirm transactions and prevent fraud).

4) Why we collect and use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • provide and operate the Funda.nz platform,
  • process payments and prevent fraud,
  • send promotion confirmations and important campaign updates,
  • provide support and respond to enquiries,
  • manage partner onboarding and campaign setup,
  • provide reporting and payout summaries to Community Groups and Business Partners,
  • improve the website and user experience (analytics and testing), and
  • meet legal and compliance obligations.

5) Payments

Payments on Funda.nz are processed securely through Stripe.

Funda.nz does not store full card details. Payment providers may collect and process your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6) Who we share personal information with

We only share information when it’s needed to run the platform, deliver the service, or meet legal obligations.

We may share personal information with:

  • Payment providers to process transactions,
  • Email and communications tools to send confirmations and updates,
  • Website and analytics providers to keep the platform secure and improve performance,
  • Business Partners where necessary to help redeem a promotion (for example, confirming a valid claim), and
  • Community Groups only in a limited way for reporting (for example, number of claims and totals), not your full payment details.

We may also share information if required by law, or to prevent fraud and misuse.

We do not sell personal information.

Funda.nz may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep the site working properly,
  • understand how people use the site,
  • improve performance and user experience,
  • support security measures.

  • Meta Pixel

8) How we store and protect personal information

After that, information is securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

  • request corrections if you believe information is wrong.
